Apart from these valuable on-farm inspections technical visits also cover China’s large experimental farms. The tour has been designed as a business trip, which may qualify as a tax-deductible expense. However, it is not all work and no play as the tour includes leisure and sightseeing to provide a well rounded itinerary of much of China that many travellers never get to see.
Tour Cost: The cost is fully inclusive of all meals and utilises the services of Singapore Airlines.
Tour Leader: Jane Combe from Horsham Vic in May 2009 undertook the very successful and highly acclaimed Australian Farmers Travel extensive farming tour of China & Tibet and in 2004 an Elders Wool Growers Study Tour of China.
About Us: Australian Farmers Travel registered in Victoria and owned and operated by Andrew Curry, commenced in 1973 as a service to primary producers and shareholders of the then major rural co-operatives Victorian Producers’ (now Elders), Westralian Farmers (now AWB Landmark), Primaries (now Elders), Gippsland and Northern, Bennetts Farmers and Farmers & Graziers. Our tours offer the chance to see how farming is practised worldwide and also provide a sense of fellowship and a chance to meet other farm families from all over Australia. Friendships formed on an Australian Farmers Tour often last a lifetime. |
